Por su parte el Suboficial Mayor de Carabineros, Nelson Gavilán Santos, destacó el gesto de estos vecinos de Angol y el hecho de haberlos contactado telefónicamente, pues por un lado permitió coordinar un lugar de entrega de la ayuda y que los distintos destacamentos policiales pudieran ubicar a aquellos crianceros que más necesitaban la ayuda en este momento, para lo cual se dieron todas las facilidades de coordinar el traslado y el desplazamiento del camión con la ayuda traída desde Angol.
