El oficial policial indicó que todo se habría producido por una descoordinación y que él se quedó con sus animales pensando bajar durante este Lunes, pero que de igual forma se activó el plan de búsqueda y destacó la experiencia del criancero y arriero pues éste conoce muy bien la cordillera y estaba preparado para las malas condiciones climáticas que se registraron en la últimas horas en la cordillera.
En la búsqueda también participaron y cooperaron vecinos del sector de las Coimas que visitan constantemente a don Isidro al igual que radioaficionados de la comuna de Putaendo, al igual que otros arrieros de la comuna que estaban ya preparados para sumarse a la búsqueda de haber sido necesaria.
