Completamente destruido por efecto del fuego resultó un furgón en el sector de Quebrada de Herrera al interior de una parcela que además originó un incendio de pastizales, lo que obligó el envío de varias unidades de Bomberos que llegaron al lugar y que mantuvieron bastantes dificultades para llegar al lugar de la emergencia por lo estrecho del callejón donde se incendiaba el furgón.
La alarma de Bomberos se activó pasado el mediodía y la emergencia se registró en el sector de las compuertas de Quebrada de Herrera al otro lado del estero hacia el cerro donde el propietario del furgón se encontraba reparando su furgón y aparentemente una falla eléctrica originó fuego en el motor el cual producto del material y del viento se propagó rápidamente sin que nada pudiera hacer el propietario y algunos trabajadores agrícolas que llegaron rápidamente a intentar ayudar en las extinción del fuego.
Bomberos en tanto debió desplegar todo su material de manguera por una larga extensión debido a lo estrecho del callejón y a las ramas de árboles que hacían imposible que la unidad ingresará más cerca de la emergencia donde además el fuego del furgón inició un incendio de pastizales que amenazaba con propagarse rápidamente por el sector debido a la vegetación seca existente en el lugar , siendo vital el trabajo de Bomberos para controlar la emergencia donde lamentablemente el furgón resultó con pérdidas totales.
