Lo cierto que varios vecinos de la comuna se han encontrado con la desagradable sorpresa que en horarios entre las 18:00 y 19:00 horas las farmacias están cerradas y deben acudir hasta San Felipe para comprar algún medicamento que se necesite de carácter urgente. Sin embargo contradictoriamente ambas farmacias exhiben en sus locales los turnos, que indican cómo alternan para mantener abierto hasta las 21:00 horas una de ellas lo que en la práctica no está ocurriendo pues cierran a eso de las 20:00 horas o literalmente no cumple con el turno que ellos mismos promocionan y al cual están obligados por la normativa de la seremi de Salud.
