A partir de lo anterior, el Gobernador destacó el origen de este proyecto, que busca evitar interrupciones del suministro, mejorando el abastecimiento de agua potable para bebida de las comunidades locales. “Recordemos que cada cierto tiempo estos APR y sus vecinos sufrían las consecuencias de las crecidas del río, ya sea porque el agua venía demasiado barrosa y deterioraba los filtros del sistema, esto debido a que se surtían de aguas superficiales. Es por eso que el Director de Obras Hidráulicas tomó la determinación de construir una ducción que tiene más de 100 metros para surtir desde Los Patos a estos cuatro sectores con aguas, ya no superficial del río, sino que con aguas subterráneas y de esa manera darles la seguridad de contar permanentemente con este líquido”.
Es así como se espera que dichos trabajos finalicen durante el mes de junio del presente año, para que los arranques cuenten con suministro de agua potable subterránea a partir del segundo semestre de 2021, beneficiando a más de 800 familias de estos sectores de Putaendo.
