Las tormentas registradas en la tarde de este Martes, causaron que el caudal del rio Rocin y Putaendo aumentaran bruscamente su caudal con mucha turbiedad y el estero Chalaco arrastrara una cantidad de sedimento que activó un plan de emergencia comunal.

Tal como se había anunciado durante la tarde de este Martes, se registraron tormentas al interior de la cordillera de los Patos, lo que originó que en el sector del Rio Rocin el caudal de las aguas aumentará pasado las 19.00 horas según indicó el suboficial Mayor de Carabineros Jaime Gonzáles jefe del retén los Patos y a eso de las 20:30 según indicó el mismo oficial el estero Chalaco registrara caudal el cual no originó inconvenientes en el sector de gran envergadura.
“Por aumento en la turbiedad del Río rocín y Putaendo se suspende la producción de agua potable de APR”
Esta situación originó que la oficina de emergencia comunal liderada por Jorge Reyes, coordinara con las directivas de los comités de agua potable rural (APR) la suspensión de la producción de agua potable debido a la turbiedad lo que afecta a los APR de Casablanca, Guzmanes, Piguchen y Población Hidalgo. En conversación con nuestro medio Jorge Reyes agregó que a primera hora de este Miércoles se constituirá en la parte alta de la comuna y ya se activó el plan de emergencia para llevar agua potable en camiones aljibes a los comités APR que podrán entregar abastecimiento en las primeras horas pero que luego comenzarán a presentar inconvenientes.

En tanto ESVAL ante la situación climática vivida la tarde de este Martes informó que se activó la alerta preventiva en la comuna de Putaendo, informamos que nos encontramos en “ alerta temprana preventiva” en Putaendo producto de las intensas lluvias de la alta cordillera. “Nuestros equipos se encuentran monitoreando la situación y realizando diversas maniobras operacionales para contar con el mayor resguardo de agua posible. Por el momento no se prevén cortes de suministro. De ser necesario, debido a las condiciones climáticas de ejecutar una interrupción en la distribución de agua en los hogares de Putaendo, lo anunciaremos con la mayor antelación posible”.
