Como cada año el último domingo de Enero, la Parroquia de Rinconada de Silva celebra la Tradicional Procesión de los Arcos, en honor y veneración a su Patrona la Virgen del Carmen.

Con esta Actividad Pastoral de Evangelización se da termino al tradicional mes Carmelitano, que de manera centenaria en este rincón del valle del Aconcagua se ha desarrollado, en cada temporada estival.
Este año el coronario de actividades estuvo centrado en volver a la tradición creada por su fundador el presbítero José Aníbal Carvajal Aspee quien en los nueve días invitaba a diferentes predicadores y oradores para profundizar la espiritualidad carmelitana.
El Párroco Padre Fabián Castro Marchant en conjunto con el Consejo Pastoral Parroquial, diseñaron para este año 2020 un recorrido de predicadores quienes compartieron diferentes visiones de la espiritualidad mariana, en clave carmelitana. Los feligreses se mostraron muy felices de volver a las raíces del origen de esta novena en honor a la Carmelita, que se venera en el templo parroquial.
Dentro de los Sacerdotes diocesanos que estuvieron presentes durante estos días fueron: el Padre Vicente Montenegro Lazo, Vicario Pastoral y Párroco de la Iglesia de San Antonio de Padua de Putaendo, el Padre Enzo Carrasco Párroco de la parroquia San Antonio de Padua de Almendral, el sacerdote Luis Núñez de la Iglesia San Francisco de Asís de Curimon, el Presbítero Claudio Acevedo de la Parroquia Inmaculada Concepción de Santa María y responsable de la Pastoral Social Diocesana, Los Presbíteros Juan Carlos Nuñez de la Iglesia Sagrada Familia de San Felipe y Mauricio Cruz Lolas del Templo Parroquial de Santa Rosa de los Andes.
La Procesión de los Arcos viene a ser el termino del Mes de Enero, que ha adquirido un matiz carmelitano tradicionalmente, y esta fue creada para dar gracias al Señor por intercesión de María en la advocación del Carmen, por las cosechas y para solicitar la bendición de la lluvia siempre necesaria para los agricultores y mucho más en estos años de sequía inminente.
La Procesión y la Santa Misa fue presidida por el Vicario General de la Diócesis el Padre Roberto Gilvo, quien junto al Párroco, los ministros de la palabra, los monaguillos y feligreses recorrieron las calles de la rinconada de silva, hermosamente decorados.
En la Homilía, el Vicario General profundizo acerca del origen de la piedad y devoción en Chile, a la Patrona Nuestra Señora del Carmen, y como el Valle de Putaendo y Rinconada de Silva en tradición Centenaria ha mantenido esta devoción en la historia de las familias, agradeció al Párroco Padre Fabián y al Consejo Pastoral Parroquial, esta iniciativa de volver a realizar estos homenajes marianos, invitando a diferentes sacerdotes de la diócesis, pues así cada pastor y el pueblo fiel va conociendo y profundizando la riqueza humana y espiritual de este rincón del valle de del Aconcagua.
La Banda Carmelitana, se destacó durante toda la procesión, acompañando el recorrido con las tradicionales marchas, al estilo español, tal cual fuera traído desde Europa a este rincón de Putaendo. Entre Marchas y oraciones muy pausadamente los Cuasimodistas parroquiales y los huasos acompañaron la imagen centenaria de la virgen del Carmen, que este año lucía un nuevo traje y un nuevo peinado, lo que llamo muchísimo la atención de los peregrinos llegados hasta este lugar a venerar y honrar a María Santísima en la Advocación del Carmen.
