En ese contexto y tras múltiples gestiones que realizaron los alcaldes Víctor Donoso de Cabildo y Mauricio Quiroz de Putaendo, en conjunto con los delegados presidenciales provinciales de Petorca y San Felipe, consiguieron que el Gobierno licitara y adjudicara un proyecto que dotará de señal de telefonía móvil a 29 kilómetros de la ruta E-411 que une ambas comunas.
Fueron muchos los llamados de urgencia que realizaron los jefes comunales solicitando en conjunto un proyecto que dotará de señal a esta zona que se ha mantenido incomunicada por muchos años, y en la cual se han tenido que lamentar varios accidentes, uno de los cuales le costó la vida en el 2015 a la pequeña cabildana Emilia Bruna de tres años, quien falleció en la carretera por no ser atendida a tiempo luego de que sus padres no tuvieran cómo contactar a los servicios de emergencia.
“Hemos logrado gestionar ante el Gobierno una solución rápida y pronta. Nos acaban de avisar esta semana, en reunión telemática, que vamos a contar ya con un proyecto que se licitó y fue adjudicado por la empresa VTR Claro para que tengamos 29 kilómetros de señal 5G y además conexión telefónica. Es una gran noticia que hemos trabajado junto a mi colega Mauricio Quiroz”, contó el alcalde de Cabildo, Víctor Donoso.
Mientras esperaban respuesta a las peticiones, los alcaldes no se quedaron de brazos cruzados y utilizaron todos los recursos que tenían disponibles para mejorar la situación, instalando antenas repetidoras para mantener un flujo de comunicación con los servicios de emergencia mediante radios. Estos esfuerzos no han sido en vano y han permitido un mejor tiempo de respuesta ante accidentes y eventualidades en la ruta.
“Mientras tanto, vamos a seguir trabajando como lo hemos hecho hasta ahora con el alcalde de Cabildo para tener, a lo menos, radiocomunicaciones con las antenas repetidoras desde el municipio de Putaendo hacia la municipalidad de Cabildo. Estamos trabajando para dotar a esta zona bastante aislada, pero importante en nuestros flujos de comunicación, de la telefonía y de la radiocomunicación que se requiere”, señaló el alcalde de Putaendo, Mauricio Quiroz.
Con mucha ilusión ambos alcaldes esperan que el proyecto se concrete pronto y que nunca más se vuelva a repetir la triste historia de la pequeña Emilia. “No queremos que nadie más muera en esta ruta por no tener señal telefónica o de cobertura. Agradecemos al Gobierno del presidente Gabriel Boric por haber reaccionado rápido a la petición de nosotros, de los alcaldes de Cabildo y Putaendo, y de los delegados presidenciales, porque esa es la señal pública que debemos dar a nuestra gente”, finalizó el alcalde Donoso.
