Partido Demócrata Cristiano tuvo su jornada de elecciones territoriales en gran parte del país el pasado Domingo.

Leopoldo Iglesias Ahumada, egresado de derecho resultó electo presidente del partido Demócrata Cristiano en la comuna de Putaendo en el proceso de elecciones territoriales efectuadas el Domingo recién pasado.
En la elección participaron 40 militantes de un total de 57 inscritos, donde Leopoldo Iglesias obtuvo un total de 38 votos equivalente al 95%, mientras que la lista encabezada por el también Demócrata Cristiano Mario Alvarado Eva obtuvo 2 votos equivalente al 5%. Iglesias manifestó a nuestro medio que el resultado de la elección era un reflejo que los demócrata Cristianos quieren hacer renacer el partido en Putaendo y ojala posesionarse como fue en su tiempo como uno de los más importantes y para eso su proyecto está marcado por el trabajo con los militantes y la unidad como partido para el bien de la comuna en los distintos escenarios donde la Democracia Cristiana será un actor gravitante en las grandes y también en las pequeñas decisiones que se deban tomar por el bien de Putaendo.

Leopoldo Iglesias agregó que uno de los primeros desafíos es convencer a Ulises Tobar, para que acepte ser el candidato de la Democracia Cristiana para la Alcaldía, pues dijo es un militante muy capacitado y su proyecto lo está construyendo conversando con muchos vecinos y es un hombre con mucha experiencia y esperan poder lograr que se convierta en el candidato de la DC y participar de un proceso de primaria para elegir un candidato único de la centro izquierda de cara a las próximas elecciones municipales.

insistiendo en la unidad de la centro izquierda y en la importancia de llevar un solo candidato como Alcalde, Iglesias señala que como DC esperan que su candidato a las primarias sea Ulises Tobar y si logran ganar ese proceso contar con el apoyo del resto de los partidos de centro izquierda, y si pierden entran con todo tras del candidato que gane las primarias y advirtió que si las candidaturas independientes de Julio Calderon y Patricio Gonsalez se mantienen hasta el final y eso implica llevar tres candidatos y perder las elecciones municipales., “Calderón y Gonsalez serán los responsables de entregarles la alcaldía de Putaendo a la derecha”.
Finalmente Leopoldo Iglesias agradeció el apoyo de quienes votaron por su proyecto y de quienes conforman su lista y reiteró que su mandato está marcado por el trabajo en terreno y la participación de todos los DC para colocar al partido en el lugar que siempre ha debido tener en Putaendo.
