Una vecina de la Población Doña Javiera Carrera presentó un aborto espontaneo al interior dé su vivienda donde no sabia que se encontraba embarazada, por lo que debió ser hospitalizada mientras que por instrucción del fiscal de turno se constituyó en la vivienda personal especializado de la brigada de homicidios de la PDI y de la brigada de delitos sexuales quienes confirmaron que se trató de un aborto espontaneo.
La Comisario jefe de la brigada de delitos sexuales de la PDI de Los Andes , María Ester Muñoz Maule, indicó a nuestro medio que efectivamente durante la madrugada del pasado Miércoles una mujer adulta, presentó un aborto al interior de su domicilio por lo que fue requerida la presencia del Samu donde la mujer fue trasladada hasta un centro asistencial y donde lamentablemente el feto en gestación bastante avanzada nació fallecido por lo que también acudió primeramente Carabineros y luego por instrucción del fiscal de turno la brigada de homicidio, que descartaron la intervención de terceros y junto al equipo especializado de la brigada de delitos sexuales se pudo establecer y confirmar que se trató de un aborto espontaneo.
La oficial agregó que la mujer nunca supo que se encontraba embarazada y que esta situación ya le había ocurrido con otros embarazos donde el día Martes acudió hasta el servicio de urgencias del Hospital San Antonio de Putaendo, por molestias, lugar donde el médico de turno le diagnosticó un lumbago y tampoco advirtió que la mujer estaba embarazada.
La Comisario María Ester Muñoz Maule, envió sus condolencias a la mujer y a su familia por tan lamentable episodio pues dijo la mujer estaba muy afectada psicológicamente por la situación vivida. El procedimiento policial finalizó con el retiro del feto desde la vivienda por parte del servicio medico legal de San Felipe.
