Consultado por las críticas en redes sociales por la demora en la llegada de las unidades, el oficial de Bomberos indicó que desde que se recibió el primer llamado en la central de comunicaciones y se activara la emergencia el carro de la tercer compañía de Rinconada de Silva demoró 9 minutos en llegar al incendio toda vez que por la contingencia sanitaria no es posible tener voluntarios en el cuartel y llegaron varios Bomberos en sus vehículos particulares antes pues muchos viven en las inmediaciones pero aclaró que el tiempo de respuesta está dentro de los márgenes normales en despacho donde los voluntarios deben llegar al cuartel y dirigirse a la emergencia agregando que los carros de la primera compañía que llegaron en apoyo desde Putaendo tuvieron inconvenientes pues ingresaron por el sector de la orilla encontrando el camino cortado lo que no había sido informado por parte del municipio mientras que el carro de la tercera Compañía llegó por calle 18 de Septiembre de manera expedita al lugar.
