El proyecto denominado “Favoreciendo la autonomía e inclusión de usuarios/as que presentan patología psiquiátrica y déficit intelectual del Hospital Psiquiátrico Dr. Philippe Pinel”, pone énfasis en la promoción de derechos y en la rehabilitación e inclusión social, y busca brindar apoyo y atención profesional de Terapia Ocupacional a usuarios/as de distintos servicios clínicos del Hospital.
A este respecto el Dr. Javier Mancilla Solar, director (s) del Hospital Psiquiátrico Dr. Philippe Pinel, señaló que en primer lugar este proyecto representa un paso muy importante en el fortalecimiento del trabajo en red y con el intersector para nuestro establecimiento; por otro lado, manifestó que esta iniciativa fue presentada y adjudicada en los últimos meses del año 2019, y debido a la contingencia social, y a la actual contingencia sanitaria, había sido imposible implementarlo, y luego de realizar las evaluaciones correspondientes, se decidió dar luz verde al inicio del proyecto, comenzando con la contratación del equipo de trabajo, integrado por Terapeutas ocupacionales, y monitores. Mancilla Solar, destacó el gran trabajo realizado por el equipo a cargo, liderado por la Terapeuta Ocupacional Karen Lazo, al tiempo de destacar y agradecer el patrocinio del Servicio de Salud Aconcagua.
Por su parte Karen Lazo, coordinadora del proyecto, indicó que entre las actividades contempladas para ser realizadas, durante los 4 meses de duración del proyecto, se puede destacar que se efectuará en primer lugar la evaluación del desempeño ocupacional de los usuarios/as, se les agruparán según necesidades, se realizarán trabajos terapéuticos individuales y grupales, se integrará al trabajo terapéutico a familiares de usuarios/as, y se reevaluará el desempeño ocupacional al momento del egreso, entre otras actividades que serán efectuadas por el equipo del proyecto, en coordinación con los equipo de trabajo de las mismas unidades en donde se trabajará.
Cecilia Goldzweig Elizondo, directora regional de SENADIS V región, al referirse al proyecto, indicó que el Servicio Nacional de la Discapacidad, durante los últimos meses del año 2019, suscribió un convenio con el Servicio de Salud Aconcagua, y con el Hospital Psiquiátrico Dr. Philippe Pinel, fruto de lo cual, surge este proyecto respecto del que la autoridad regional resaltó lo tremendamente fundamental que resulta la aplicación de la terapia ocupacional en pacientes psiquiátricos, y como esto incide en la recuperación, y en la inclusión exitosa de los mismos en la comunidad.
Finalmente, la directora regional de SENADIS, recalcó que están muy contentos con la motivación del equipo del Philippe Pinel, y por el inicio del proyecto, el que había tenido que ser postergado por las razones señaladas en párrafos anteriores, pero que hoy por hoy, ya comienza a ser plenamente ejecutado, por lo cual tenemos las más altas expectativas de éxito y buenos resultados en los usuarios/as que serán parte de esta hermosa iniciativa.
