Fajardo, ratificó que la investigación que comenzó este viernes en la Municipalidad de Putaendo con la llegada de funcionarios de la Brigada de Delitos Económicos de la PDI, es una causa que nació en la Fiscalía de Iquique; “vinculada a actos de corrupción de funcionarios municipales de esa comuna con empresas que se habrían adjudicado procesos licitatorios de luminarias públicas, particularmente ITELECOM, da lugar a la investigación que actualmente tramita la Fiscalía de San Felipe por eventuales delitos de cohecho o soborno en Putaendo, por lo que instruí este viernes a personal de la Policía de Investigaciones de Chile a través de la Brigada de Delitos Económicos de Los Andes concurrieran a la Municipalidad de Putaendo a fin de requerir la entrega de todos los antecedentes vinculados a la empresa ITELECOM, que de acuerdo a los registros públicos se habría adjudicado una licitación relativa al mejoramiento de alumbrado público de esta comuna, con lo cual a través de esta investigación pretendemos establecer si hubo un proceso irregular o no, o alguna posible conducta delictual, ya sea cohecho o soborno, lo que tendrá que acreditarse en el curso de la investigación.”
