El objetivo del programa derivó en fomentar crianza responsable y prevención de conductas de riesgo de salud en familias con adolescentes de 10 a 14 años.
De esta forma, se realizaron talleres semanales desde el mes de agosto, junto a niñas, niños y también con mamás, papás y adultos responsables. 
En la ceremonia de finalización asistieron familias participantes, como también el equipo multidisciplinario que estuvo presente en cada uno de los talleres.
También estuvieron presentes la alcaldesa(s) de Putaendo, Mirna Humeres; el director del Cesfam de Putaendo, Juan Francisco Madariaga; y la jefa del Depto de Salud Mental del Servicio de Salud Aconcagua, Karem Schleyer.
Cabe destacar que en los próximas semanas se realizará una segunda versión del Programa, con más familias de la misma Escuela San Alberto de Guzmanes.
El Programa Familias Fuertes es una iniciativa promovida desde la Organización Panamericana de la Salud (OPS). En Chile este año comenzó su ejecución en un total de siete Servicios de Salud y comunas del país, entre ellas Putaendo.
En el aspecto local, el Programa fue gestionado desde el Área de Promoción de Salud de Putaendo y ejecutado por profesionales del Programa Adolescentes del Cesfam.
