Visibilizar la labor de un cuidador o cuidadora de personas con discapacidad en Putaendo fue el objetivo del preparar y exhibir la obra audiovisual llamada “No Estamos Tan Solos”, estrenada la tarde de este miércoles 18 de octubre en el Salón Saint Pierre, del Colegio Marie Poussepin.
Hasta el lugar también llegaron vecinas y vecinos de la comuna, algunos de ellas(os) protagonistas del documental que refleja la labor del equipo del programa “Red Local de Apoyos y Cuidados” en Putaendo.
Este programa funciona atendiendo a 71 familias de todo el territorio de Putaendo, asesorando y entregando ayuda profesional íntegra a hogares con personas que presenten discapacidad severa y/o moderada.
Actualmente, el programa funciona bajo el alero de la Oficina Municipal de la Discapacidad. 
En la ocasión, usuarias del programa agradecieron la labor del municipio en materia de inclusión y cuidados, en un trabajo en red que también agrupa a otras entidades como el Cesfam Valle de Los Libertadores
Cabe mencionar que el documental estuvo a cargo del cineasta Carlos Vásquez Contreras. Él estuvo durante los meses de mayo, julio y junio reporteando y conociendo las diversas realidades del programa.
