El conductor que protagonizó el choque de su camioneta contra un poste del tendido eléctrico y que generó la suspensión del suministro en toda la zona norte de la comuna de Putaendo, guiaba dicho vehículo bajo los efectos del alcohol.
Así lo confirmó Carabineros de Putaendo quien identifico al conductor de 27 años con las iniciales J.R.P.B al cual no fue posible tomarle el examen de alcohotest o prueba respiratoria y solo se le practicó la alcoholemia de rigor en el Hospital San Antonio de Putaendo, pero que a juicio del personal de Carabineros en el mismo lugar del accidente se determinó que guiaba el móvil bajo los efectos del alcohol.
El accidente se registró a eso de las 05:00 horas de este Domingo cuando el conductor guiaba su camioneta de norte a sur por Lo Vicuña en dirección hacia Putaendo y al llegar al sector de los tres puentes [Camino Interior] chocó a alta energía contra un poste de energía eléctrica el cual partió en dos y el que afortunadamente cayó sobre la calzada y no sobre el mismo vehículo.
Hasta el lugar del accidente llegó una ,ambulancia del Samu que trasladó al conductor que resultó con lesiones leves hasta el Hospital Putaendo, mientras que Carabineros adoptó el procedimiento de rigor y Bomberos envió dos unidades al lugar ante la eventualidad de una emergencia mayor. Este accidente generó un corte de energía eléctrica desde la calle Jan Rozas con la avenida Alessandri y el que afecto a las poblaciones del sector y desde ese punto se extendió hasta Población Hidalgo por la zona Oriente y hasta Los Patos incluido Guzmanes por la zona Poniente, reestableciéndose el suministro luego de los trabajos de Chilquinta pasado las 14:00 horas de este Domingo.
