Correa agrego que resulta fundamental la colaboración de la comunidad ya que por ejemplo se debe entender que por ningún motivo deben realizarse quemas de basuras o malezas,y tratar de limpiar las cercanías de los hogares donde existe vegetación seca ya que por ejemplo aun en el centro de la comuna es apreciable que en sitios hay mucha vegetación totalmente seca y muy cerca de las casas , razón por la cual llamó a la comunidad a tomar resguardos pues con las temperaturas que se avecinan, sumado al viento ese pasto o maleza puede incluso generar un incendio de casa pues el fuego resulta incontrolable cuando tiene carga combustible como las que explicaba.
El oficial de Bomberos agregó que ante cualquier indicio de incendio por muy pequeño que es véa , se debe dar aviso en forma inmediata a Bomberos al fono 133 o al 342 501026, ya que en muchas ocasiones son los mismos propietarios de predios y vecinos que con buenas intenciones intentan combatir el fuego y solo dan aviso cuando el fuego se descontrola, recordando que para todo loss efecto Bomberos de Putaendo se encuentra con personal preparado y en estado de alerta para salir en forma rápida a este tipo de emergencias.
