El jueves 24 de Diciembre del año 2.020 quedará marcado para siempre para una querida y conocida familia de Putaendo que desde ese dia, debe recordar visitar la animita donde murió atropellado Ángel Gregorio Montenegro Gallardo, conocido ampliamente en la comuna como Gollito”.
Esa fatídica noche pasadas las 21:30 horas , en momentos que el joven de 22 años, de iniciales E.A.V.B. conducía un automóvil Citroën por la calle de la Población Hidalgo en dirección a Putaendo, el cual luego de adelantar a otro vehículo y al regresar a su pista colisionó la bicicleta que guiaba en la misma dirección Ángel Montenegro Gallardo, quien era común verlo recorrer grandes distancias en nuestra comuna a bordo de su bicicleta, invierno y verano, con frío o calor, su medio de transporte siempre fue su bicicleta que en los últimos años también se transformó en su pasión.
Lamentablemente el fuerte impacto del vehículo dejó a gravemente herido a Ángel Montenegro Gallardo quien falleció en el lugar del accidente a pesar de los esfuerzos del personal del SAMU para estabilizarlo y poder trasladarlo a un centro asistencial.
La justicia hizo lo suyo, el conductor E.A.V.B. de 22 años fue condenado por conducción en estado de ebriedad con resultado de muerte a 5 años de presidio menor en su grado máximo y la inhabilitación perpetua para conducir vehículos de tracción mecánica, sin embargo esta condena no cambia en nada la tragedia que vivió y vive su familia, pues nadie volverá a la vida a Goyito, y aún sus seres queridos recuerdan que mientras esperaban celebrar la navidad las sirenas que daban cuenta del accidente ocurrido en el camino que une Piguchén con la localidad de Población Hidalgo, donde la oscuridad del sector y la ingesta de alcohol de un irresponsable conductor cobraban una víctima.
Goyito fue durante largos años garzón del club social Putaendo, y también del restaurant la rosa Chilena, su humildad, carisma y voluntad lo transformaron en una persona muy querida que al momento de su trágica muerte era parte del Liceo Manuel Marín de nuestra comuna, ahí los alumnos lo conocían como el tío Goyito, y quienes junto a la comunidad, la familia lo despidieron con el dolor de una partida inesperada, injusta y repentina y con el dolor más grande que es asaber que sus sueños, su vida y la de su familia se detuvieron para siempre por un conductor que jamás debió tomar un vehículo y conducirlo en las condiciones que lo hacía. por eso hoy a dos años de esta tragedia queremos recordar al querido y recordado Goyito, donde esa simpleza tan suya esa humildad y cariño permanecerá eternamente en los suyos y en quienes le conocieron.
