La nueva autoridad de Bomberos asumió su nuevo cargo el viernes pasado junto al directorio general de la institución y las oficialidades de las tres compañías que hoy tiene Bomberos de Putaendo.

La bombero de la primera compañía, Victoria Parra Quiroga, se convirtió en la primera mujer en la institución en ocupar el máximo cargo que todo bombero pueda aspirar como es el de superintendente, el que durante 63 años solo fue ostentado por hombres.
La elección se realizó el mes pasado, y solo el viernes pasado en sesión solemne se procedió al cambio de mando donde el destacado Bombero insigne de Chile, Manuel Pizarro Henríquez entregó el mando de la institución después de 10 años como máxima autoridad de la institución.
En la ocasión también asumieron los nuevos oficiales generales, Vice Superintendente: Felipe Miranda Vergara, Primer Comandante: Luis Sepulveda Hidalgo, Segundo Comandante: Francisco Correa Díaz, Secretario General: Jorge Nieto Zamora, Tesorero General: Luis Vera Vergara.
En conversación con nuestro medio la nueva Superintendente de Bomberos, Victoria Parra, indicó que al asumir el nuevo cargo luego de haber estado como Vice Superintendente durante 4 años, lo hacía con la experiencia ganada en dicho cargo y con el aprendizaje que obtuvo de otros oficiales generales que le permitieron aprender mucho y que hoy continúa en la senda trazada junto al directorio general en cuanto a seguir trabajando por el profesionalismo de los Bomberos y el engrandecimiento de la institución, agregando que el ser la primera mujer en ocupar el cargo más alto de la institución era un orgullo y también una tremenda responsabilidad.

La ceremonia del viernes pasado fue también la ocasión para que las oficialidades de las tres compañías también asumieran sus nuevos oficiales, pero además fue también la ocasión para rendir un sentido homenaje al Bombero miembro honorario, y Bombero insigne de Chile, Manuel Pizarro Henriquez ” Manolito” quien en el último tiempo estuvo durante 10 años como máxima autoridad de la institución pero que siempre a estado ligado por entero a la institución incluso como un maquinista aún vigente para conducir los vehículos en una emergencia. La figura de Manuel Pizarro ha sido un guia para muchas generaciones de Bomberos que siempre han encontrado un consejo, una orientación y la tremenda disposición para enseñar de un hombre que ha consagrado su vida al servicio de Bomberos de Putaendo.
