La ceremonia estuvo encabezada por el Alcalde Mauricio Quiroz y el Seremi del Medio Ambiente, Hernan Ramirez.
Con esta certificación Putaendo busca abordar de manera sistemática, los principales conflictos o situaciones ambientales presentes en el territorio.
Destacar que el SCAM promueve la gestión ambiental, ayuda a conservar y proteger los recursos naturales para las futuras generaciones, puede atraer inversiones y turismo sostenible y establece estándares y criterios para evaluar el desempeño ambiental.
La jornada se realizó en la Escuela Paso Histórico, la cual cuenta con sello educativo medioambiental y fomenta el cuidado del planeta.
El alcalde Mauricio Quiroz informó que ya fue aprobada la segunda etapa del SCAM y por lo tanto se espera seguir trabajando con el nivel intermedio y avanzar en la protección del medioambiente, a nivel municipal y comunal.
La ceremonia contó con la participación del delegado provincial presidencial Daniel Muñoz, los concejales Francisco Casas y Carlos Gallardo, directivos y funcionarios de la escuela Paso Historico y del Municipio.
