El pasado 29 de Julio del presente año, la dirección de obras hidráulicas [DOH] firmaba un contrato con el empresario Luis Arancibia propietario de la viña “Encanto” para que en estos terrenos se construyera un pozo profundo que permitiria inyectar a los canales del sector poniente de la comuna más de 80 litros por segundo, lo que fue calificado en ese momento por Daniel De Blasis, presidente de la Junta de Vigilancia del Río Putaendo [JVRP] como un hecho de suma importancia indicando. “Cuando entre en operaciones junto al segundo pozo que se construirá en la ribera Oriente y la reparación y operatividad del pozo Quillotana, permitirá tener una capacidad de agua subterránea de más del 60% para enfrentar eventuales años secos y favorecer a los agricultores de la comuna de Putaendo”.
Sin embargo esta semana se conoció de manera formal que luego de haber perforado más de 200 metros finalmente la empresa a cargo de los sondajes NO encontró el agua que esperaban por lo que con todas sus letras el proyecto de la construcción del pozo se transformó en un rotundo fracaso.

Miguel Vega agregó que hoy está el compromiso del director nacional de la [DOH] de mantener los recursos para los dos pozos comprometidos y el que se construirá en el sector oriente del río Putaendo para evitar un nuevo fracaso la [JVRP] contratar una empresa particular para primero determinar si efectivamente es viable perforar donde lo indica la [DOH] y evitar que ocurra nuevamente lo del trapiche, indicando que cuando advirtió esta situación en reunión de la directiva de la[JVRP] algunos dirigentes dijeron que “No se preocupara pues el proyecto no era con plata de la junta” lo que Vega calificó como una falta de respeto a todos los Chilenos pues otra más de $250 millones no es algo menor para nadie.
