Enorme consternación causó en la comunidad de Putaendo, la noticia que daba cuenta del suicidio de un joven de 41 años ampliamente conocido, identificado como Fabián Olivares Páez.
La Teniente de Carabineros de la comuna de Putaendo Yasmina Andrade dijo que el hallazgo fue realizado por una mujer a eso de las 11:15 horas de la mañana de este Domingo al interior de un domicilio particular de calle Juan Rozas, y que el personal policial al constituirse en el lugar corroboró que se trataba de un cuerpo masculino y aisló el sitio del suceso por instrucción del fiscal de turno a la espera de la brigada de homicidios de la Policía de Investigaciones de Los Andes.
Un vez terminado el trabajo de esa unidad especializada , el Comisariado jefe de la BH de la P.D.I Marcelo Lazen, indicó que se trató de un suicidio por ahorcamiento descartando la intervención de terceras personas, agregando que se pudo establecer que el fallecido habría presentado una depresión que no fue tratada y además de otros antecedentes que omitió pues son parte de la investigación que se lleva adelante en este caso.
Fue el servicio medico legal (SML) que luego de finalizado el trabajo de la P.DI trasladó el cuerpo hasta la ciudad de San Felipe para la autopsia de rigor ante este tipo de casos.
