La iniciativa se realizó en conmemoración del “Día Mundial del Deporte y de la Actividad Física” y contó con el apoyo del Departamento de Deportes, el Programa Senda Previene, del DAEM Putaendo y del Cesfam Valle de Los Libertadores .
Prácticamente, todos los estudiantes del establecimiento recorrieron desde el mismo liceo en dirección hacia el llamado “Fundo la Quebrada”, en el oriente de Putaendo. 
En total, jóvenes desde séptimo a cuarto medio caminaron más de 8 kilómetros. Los de menor edad no realizaron un trayecto tan largo, pero también realizaron actividad física. 
De esta manera, niñas, niños y jóvenes tuvieron la oportunidad de observar la flora y fauna del de Putaendo, aprender sobre la importancia de cuidar el medio ambiente y disfrutar de la compañía de sus compañeros y profesores en un ambiente al aire libre.
Desde el Cesfam de Putaendo participaron profesionales del Programa de Promoción de Salud, el Programa Mejor Niñez y el Programa Espacios Amigables.
