Aún existen personas que confunden un militante de un partido político con una persona que esta desencantado con la política y adquiere una posición de activista social que es una persona que alza la voz por la vulneración de sus derechos sociales, exigiendo equidad que no es igualdad, el concepto equidad alude a que todas las personas tengan garantizados los derechos, igualdad sería la gratuidad universitaria para la elite social como para el más vulnerable, entendiendo que la elite social no hay problemas socio-económicos.
Quiero detenerme en la clave de ser un activista social que es por el desencanto de la política, Gabriel Salazar (Historiador chileno) señala en su libro de Movimientos Sociales que la generación del año 90, es un movimiento social que escuchara que la alegría ya viene. Todo lo mencionado en el párrafo anterior fue generando un descontento con la política que se tradujo en protestas del año 2005 con la revolución pingüino, 2009 con personas protestando por la industria manufacturada y el versus entre la agricultura y minería, debido a que el agricultor no tenía agua y las faenas mineras sí. El 2012 se empezó a protestar por la AFP, 2013 por los casos de corrupción en el país y sucesivamente año tras año por un nuevo tema hasta llegar metafóricamente a la gota que rebalso el vaso en el 2019, titulada como crisis social.
Es en ese año 2019, cuando nace el activista social que venía reprimido de años y años aguantando la vulneración de un sistema político. Indiferente a si el gobierno sea de derecha, si es necesario re-alzar el poco compromiso del actual mandatario con la clase media, clases más vulneradas y pueblos aborígenes.
Ante todo lo explicado, el activista social es un agente de cambio a la consciencia de la persona y un rol a imitar por otros que confunden violencia y un color político.
