La tradicional misa de los días Domingos, fue realizada en el frontis del templo parroquial a un costado de la plaza de armas y tuvo por finalidad pedir por la paz en nuestro país y también en la comuna de Putaendo.
Cientos de fieles llegaron hasta la plaza de la comuna para participar de la eucaristía encabezada por el padre Vicente Montenegro, quien centró su prédica en lo que ha estado pasando en los últimos días pidiendo entender y compartir las legítimas demandas de millones de Chilenos, pero respetando al prójimo sin ofensas sin vandalismos y reiterando que no estamos en una guerra y que en nada contribuye el vandalismo y los ataques entre compatriotas llamando a todos unirse por Chile y la comunidad en estos momentos tan difíciles.
Dentro de la celebración de la misa unos pequeños bailaron un pie de cueca nuestro baile nacional como un pequeño homenaje a nuestra patria donde muchos fieles portaban globos de color blanco en señal de paz, pues durante la misa también se pidió por todos aquellos compatriotas que han fallecido en estas jornadas de movilizaciones.
Al finalizar la eucaristía el padre Vicente Montenegro señaló a nuestro medio que reiteraba el llamado a la paz , la unión y el respeto entre todos y a no caer en la desesperación y el caos sobre todo con lo que en muchas veces se difunde en las redes sociales, pues dijo les invito a unirse a Dios pues lo que hoy está ocurriendo es un llamado de Dios a unirse más como familia y comunidad.
Finalmente el padre Vicente pidió a la comunidad retomar la normalidad, que los niños asistan a los colegios que entre todos tengamos el Putaendo de siempre y que nos cuidemos y protejamos siempre encomendandonos a Dios y la Virgen para que nos proteja y también proteja el país y la comuna
