El Negro Cerpa por años se dedicó a la compra y venta de vehículos y a la desarmaduría, comenzando con un pequeño taller que a la postre junto al trabajo de sus hijos se transformó en una de las desarmadurías mas importantes del valle del Aconcagua, siendo reconocido por quienes le conocieron por su trato amable, su sencillez para atender al público y compartir con sus amigos.
